SICL is a scientific community which gathers scientists involved in the research and development of science and technology of liquid crystals.
SICL members are affiliated to several universities and research institutions, with internationally recognized expertises in physics, chemistry, mathematics and engineering.
Research developed by several Italian groups in the field of liquid crystals are of high scientific level as proved by the several publications on high impact scientific journals.
SICL operates in several directions:
· to promote knowledge of liquid crystals with its multidisciplinary, scientific, technical and economical aspects;
· to promote the transmission of knowledge among researchers, producers and users of liquid crystals and related systems;
· to establish relationships and collaborations with groups interested in liquid crystals, with analogous societies in other countries and the International Liquid Crystal Society;
· to organize scientific events and meetings every year to promote the scientific culture of liquid crystals and new collaborations opportunities which could bring added value.
