The SICL has established a collaboration with the scientific communities of Japan and Brazil through the organization of joint workshops to promote bilateral cultural exchange in order to trigger new scientific collaborations and to strengthen existing ones.

Italy-Japan Bilateral Workshop

Since 2002 it has been establishing a partnership with the Japanese Society of Liquid Crystals (JLCS). The two societies organized every two years, alternately in the two countries, joint workshops. The SICL-JLCS workshops  were held in different Italian and Japanese locations:

Workshop Italy-Brazil

In 2012, in Erice the SICL and the Brazilian scientific community on liquid crystals have inaugurated a series of bilateral workshops.

In 2013, Maceio in Brazil the second workshop was held between the two Italian and Brazilian delegations .

5th Workshop of Liquid Crystals for Photonics
