{"id":63,"date":"2014-03-04T22:30:55","date_gmt":"2014-03-04T21:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sicl.it\/en\/?page_id=63"},"modified":"2014-03-04T22:30:55","modified_gmt":"2014-03-04T21:30:55","slug":"school","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sicl.it\/en\/school\/","title":{"rendered":"School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Every four years the SICL organizes an international school at the\u00a0<a id=\"w1385744302924\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ccsem.infn.it\/\" target=\"blank\">Centre for Scientific Culture &#8220;Ettore Majorana&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0in the beautiful setting of Erice (TP) in western Sicily, which has a decade-long tradition of hospitality for highly qualified international scientific meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The schools of the SICL are addressed to both Italian and foreign\u00a0PhD students and young scientists (Fellows, Post-Docs) \u00a0in Physics\u00a0, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Engineering interested in enlarging their knowledge in the field of liquid crystals and related fields of research with a focus on nanoscience and nanotechnology.<\/p>\n<p>SICL schools are also part of the initiatives of the\u00a0<a id=\"w1385744381099\" href=\"http:\/\/www-th.bo.infn.it\/islc\" target=\"blank\">International School of liquid crystals\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0of Erice directed by Prof. Claudio Zannoni.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The first SICL school was held in 2007 with the title:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Advances in Experimental and Theoretical Techniques for Anisotropic Fluids&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The second school took place from the 3rd to the 10th of July 2011, with the title:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Liquid crystal nanostructures and self-assembly: from organic electronics to metamaterials.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every four years the SICL organizes an international school at the\u00a0Centre for Scientific Culture &#8220;Ettore Majorana&#8221;\u00a0in the beautiful setting of Erice (TP) in western Sicily, which has a decade-long tradition of hospitality for highly qualified international scientific meetings.
